It was known by its previous name from 2007 up to 2015. 2007 was the year when the company was founded by Stephen Burns and its headquarters is in Sharonville, Ohio, USA. Its current CEO is Richard Dauch. The company not only makes electric vehicles but also makes telematics software and drones. The owner of the company was the ex-CEO of Lordstown Motors. The company changed its name to Workhorse in 2015. The company’s main goal is to convert passenger vehicles which have gas tanks and combustion engines into electric drive.
