Wiesmann: Logo Meaning, Evolution, SVG, PNG and Company Overview

On its right is the name of the company designed in dark grey color using a customized Grasher-Italic OTF (400) font. Below it is a text in German “Manufaktur Der Individualisten” which means Manufacture to Individualists in English. This text is designed in grey color and all letters are capitalized. This text is designed using a customized Calibri Body font. We think that the reason to opting to add a gecko in the logo is due to visual appeal. This is because geckos have skins with unique patterns. Meaning that Wiesmann’s cars are so visually appealing that it stays in people’s memory. Another reason suggests that geckos are considered as exotic creatures. This becomes a huge element that the Wiesmann’s cars are not visually appealing but is a luxury for those who love adventure. Geckos are also known for their versatility and Wiesmann may be added the creature in their logo because vehicles can go distances regardless of driving conditions and environments. The gecko is good at maneuvering itself and the company also claimed that their cars “stick to the road like geckos on the wall”. The last reason we could think of was the feature of distinctiveness. Many car brands usually opt for powerful creatures in the animal kingdom like birds of prey, bulls, horses, etc. but adding a gecko may tick people to a good extent.
