In 2004, Tesla’s logo underwent a change towards simplicity and sleekness. The shield shape was removed, leaving only the “T” and the company name was shortened to just “Tesla.” The “T” itself was likely refined to look sharper. This shift aimed to create a more modern and streamlined look that better matched Tesla’s focus on cutting-edge technology and stylish design. There is equal space between all letters of Tesla. E and A are written in a stylish form like Monogram T. While not officially confirmed, most people believe that Elon Musk, who joined Tesla in 2004, was behind this change in the company’s branding.

Prado Studio and RO Studio designed the first logo of Tesla in 2004. The most noticeable part in this logo is stylized letter “T”. This “T” sits boldly within a shield-like shape, giving the logo a traditional emblem feel. Underneath this shield, the words “Tesla Motors” are displayed in a simple, clean, and bold typeface. However in some versions of logo “Tesla Motors” was written on right side.

Tesla was started in July 2003 by Marc Tarpenning and Martin Eberhard and named it Tesla Motors. The company was named Tesla as a tribute to Nikola Tesla. The company was joined by Elon Musk in 2004 and was the biggest shareholder of that time and in 2008, he was made the CEO of Tesla.

Tesla cars have a special button called “Ludicrous Mode”. When you press it, the car goes super-duper fast, just like a zooming rocket.
