Rimac Automobili is an automotive manufacturer based in Croatia that was founded by Mate Rimac in 2009 and is headquartered in Sveta Nedelja. The company is famous for manufacturing battery systems and electric sports cars. The company is associated with Rimac Technology which is also a part of Rimac Group.
The company is processes under Bugatti Rimac which is a joint venture between Rimac Automobili and Bugatti Automobiles. In 2018, Rimac’s first model Concept_One was considered the fastest-selling electric vehicles – this model was displayed at the 88th Geneva International Motor Show. The company also revealed its second model Rimac Nevera in the same year.
The company’s basis started in the founder’s garage in 2017 when he converted his BMW 3 Series E30 into an electric powertrain and it gained a lot of attention. After getting its first fund from angel investors which enabled the launch of the company in 2009.
