Renault: Logo Meaning, Evolution, SVG, PNG and Company Overview

1946

The logo again has a diamond but this time with more customizations. The diamond has a thick black border. There 2 triangles in black and yellow and the center has of the diamond has the name of the company and the 2 additional words “Regie Nationale”. The word “Reanult” and these words are separated by a thick black line. These words are designed using the same design details as used in the 1945 Renault logo.

1945

This logo has some additional shapes. The logo consists of a black and grey crest with bright yellow color fill. The top of the crest has 4 cylinders and the bottom of the crest has smaller 4 cylinders. The center of the crest has a 3 nested diamond shape in black and grey. The center of the diamond has 7 parts; from 2^nd to the 5^th part, there are words designed in black using customized Calibri Body Bold font type. The words are “Regie”, “Nationale”, “Renault”, and “France”. Regie Nationale means “National Corporation” or “National Administration”.

1930

This logo has a customized shape of a diamond. The top and bottom edges of the shape have small black triangles and the rest are black lines in ascending and descending order. The center of the shape has a left-right arrow shape with the name of the company designed in white using a Country Western SC Fill font type.

1925

In this year, the company glued with the diamond shape till date. The logo is a 3 nested diamond. The first two layers are black and white and the center layer has another diamond designed in black and white lines. The center diamond is cut in half with the name of the company designed in black color using a customized Times New Roman font type.

1923

This logo is a 3 nested circle. The first is a thin black layer, followed by a thick white layer, and the center of the circle has light grey rectangle with curved corners. The rectangle has the name of the company designed in grey and white, all uppercase letters, and using a customized Robotic font type. Inside the circle are 5 black lines designed on each corner. The top part of the circle has black lines in ascending order and the bottom part has black lines in descending order. These sets of lines are separated by white equal spaces.

1919

This is the third logo of Renault. The logo consists of a thick black circle with white color fill. The center of the circle has a black and white tank facing left. The tyres of the tang are extending outside the circle’s borders

1906

This is the second logo of Renault. The logo has a black circle consisting of what looks like a crank in black. The center of the circle consists of a vintage car facing front.

1899

This is the first logo of Renault. This logo was designed by the founders; Renault brothers. The logo is a 4 nested oval. The first two layers are black and white. The third layer has small circles and the last layer has white color fill. The later has 2 letters “R” mirroring each other representing the founders. On top of the oval is a black and white floral design.

Renault is also called Renault Group. The company was started in 1899 by the Renault brothers; Louis, Marcel, and Fernand. The company is headquartered in Île-de-France and its current CEO is Luca de Meo and its Chairman is Jean-Dominique Senard. Renault is a multinational automobile and commercial vehicle manufacturing company. Renault was considered the 9^th biggest automaker company in the world in 2016 in terms of production volume.

Its subsidiaries include Dacia, RCI Banque, Motrio, and Alpine. The company has business joint ventures with Renault Pars and Oyak-Renault. Nissan and the French state hold 15% of the company’s shares. Renault Trucks has been a part of Volvo since 2001. The company is also known for its major role in motor sports including Formula E and Formula 1. The first Renault car was named Renault Voiturette 1CV.
