Pierce Arrow is also known as Pierce Arrow Motor Car Company, it was an expensive luxury car manufacturing company. The company also manufactured bicycles, motorcycles, camp trailers, boats, fire trucks, and commercial trucks.
Before getting into the car industry, the company was called Heinz, Pierce, and Munschauer and it used to manufacture gilded birdcages and other household items. The company was bought in 1872 by George Norman Pierce and renamed it to George N. Pierce Company and started manufacturing of bicycles in 1896. The first car was manufactured in 1903 and was named Arrow.
Pierce Arrow was bought by Studebaker in 1928.
