Nismo is known as Nissan Motorsports International. It is a division of Nissan that focuses on customization and motorsports. The company was founded in 1984 as a merger of 2 departments; performance and tuning. Nismo cars won the 4 biggest racing events; 24 Hours of Daytona, 24 Hours of Le Mans, JTCC, and JSPC. In 2022, the company also won 2 races; Formula E and Super GT.
The basis of the company is before the founding date – in 1964, Nissan the company did a merger with Prince Motor Company and launched its first car in 1988 Nissan Skyline R32. Nismo also launched a street-legal version of this model and built only 500 units. The company now also deals in a wide range of aftermarket performance auto parts like suspension parts, engines, alloy wheels, diffusers, spoilers, and aerodynamic parts.
