MAZ is a state-owned automobile manufacturing company based in Belarus which was founded in 1944 in Minsk. The company exports its trolleybuses, buses, and trucks in Eastern Europe and Russia. The company is considered one of the largest automotive companies in Eastern Europe. The company started after the WW2 ended. The first model of MAZ was launched in 1949 and it was a half copy of General Motor’s vehicles.
MAZ wrote its name in history as near the manufacturing plant there were a lot of cinemas, medical clinics, shops, and apartment buildings where plant workers lived a good life and also some German prisoners were also allowed to work in the factory. MAZ also manufactured all sorts of cranes, semi-trailer trucks, semi-trailers, and road trackers along TELs (Transporter Erector Launchers) which included ballistic missiles.
