The Rover Company founded Land Rover in 1948. It was launched as vehicle to fill the gap left by the World War II jeep. In 1967, it became a separate company within British Leyland. However, after that, it saw frequent changes in ownership. BMW acquired it in 1994 and sold it to Ford. Finally, Tata Motors purchased Land Rover in 2008.
Its vehicles are in different body styles to target different types of customers or fulfill various needs. It includes pick-up trucks and luxurious twelve-seat station wagons. Land Rover provides a wide range of choices with various options.
