Lagonda is a luxury car brand manufacturer based in the United Kingdom that is now a part of Aston Martin since 1947. Lagonda was basically founded by US-based citizen Wilbur Gunn in 1906 in Middlesex. The founder was also an opera singer who got British nationality in 1891 and worked as a motorcycle and speedboat engineer.
Wilbur also made a motorcycle in small scale in his garage and launched his first car in 1907. Both of these vehicles won dedicated races. The car production got a lot of eyes and Gunn started getting orders from Russia and the company launched a small car by 1914.
After the founder’s death in 1920, the directors took the responsibility and launched their first sports car in 1925. Later on, the company couldn’t meet their expenses and sold the company to Alan P. Good in 1935 and it was acquired by Aston Martin in 1947.
Lagonda cars are now designed by William Towns.
Lagonda is a Marque of Aston Martin.
The price of Lagonda Taraf is $1 million.
