Kaiser Motors was previously known as Kaiser-Frazer. The company was founded in 1945 by Henry J. Kaiser and was defunct in 1953. The company’s headquarters is in Michigan, USA. The company was merged with Willys-Overland to become Willys Motors. The company was a merger between 2 companies; Graham-Paige Motors Corporation and Henry J. Kaiser Company.
After the year of formation, the company manufactured 11000 cars. In 1948, 300,000 cars were manufactured. The company manufactured a compact car named Henry J in 1950 and in 1953, the company announced in the New York Auto Show that it will manufacture fiber-glass bodied sports car named Kaiser-Darrin-Frazer 161. The company had great potential but it couldn’t compete the “Big Three” automakers.
Kaiser Motors was bought by AMC.
