The company returned to its original logo in 2023. However, Infiniti uses a different formation logo on its cars, by placing it on grills of a car with powerful meanings. In the current logo, the wordmark is larger than the original one.

In 2004, the company redesigned its logo to give it a 3d look. There is no change in the logo concept. The designer changed the logo color to silver with gradient effects and a black outline. The size of the oval is larger than the previous one. There is less space between the letters of Infiniti. Due to equal size and alignment, it looks like the wordmark is closed in a rectangle.

The first logo of Infiniti is similar to the present logo with a bit of a difference. Because the Infiniti logo has remained unchanged with minor differences over time. The 1989 logo consisted of an Oval with a lower part cut to form an inverted V or triangle with white space. Below the monogram, there is an Infiniti wordmark in uppercase sans serif font, with equal space between all letters.

There are many theories about the Infiniti logo. Some say that an inverted V represents Mount Fuji in Japan, showing the origin of Infiniti. While oval represents success and growth. In the mid-1980s, Nissan created a secret team known as the “Horizon Task Force”, with the purpose of researching and then launching a luxury brand that can compete with existing brands of that time. The task force researched and ultimately Nissan started the Infiniti brand.

Infiniti differentiates itself from the other car brands by manufacturing powerful and luxury cars. Infiniti cars are famous for safety, connectivity and driver comfort. Its major competitors are the German trio (BMW, Mercedes, Audi) and other Japanese luxury brands.

Infiniti introduced its car in the North American market in 1989. Because there was a lot of demand for luxury vehicles in North America. It has a good brand reputation and customer loyalty in North America, which helped Infiniti to expand its presence worldwide.

After becoming famous in North America, Infiniti expanded into global markets like China, Europe, and the Middle East. It is difficult to focus on its core identity in the global market, but Infiniti has always focused on its core values and Japanese luxury style as well. “Inspired Performance” is Infiniti’s brand tagline, which means it provides an excellent drive experience. The Infiniti Q45 was the brand’s first luxury series with 4 doors while M-30 with two doors. G-Series was a series of sports cars. Infiniti’s current car series is QX-Series which covers a range of luxury vehicles in different sizes. Like other brands, Infiniti has increased its focus on electrification of cars. The QX Inspiration is the first electric car of Infiniti with unique design and outstanding performance.

The Infiniti FX series has the INFINITI marque on a double-arch grille design, which is a representation of Japanese bridges.
