The company is headquartered in Seoul, South Korea and its current Chairman is Chung Eui-Sun, its President and CEO is Chang Jae-Hoon, and its Chief designer is Sang Yup-Lee. The company also owns 33.88% of KIA Corporation.
The company owns Genesis and Ioniq. The company was previously known as the Hyundai Engineering and Construction Company was founded in 1947. The Hyundai Motor Company was founded in 1967 and in 1968 it launched its first car named Cortina; this car was released with the cooperation of Ford Motor Company.
The slogan of Hyundai is “New Thinking, New Possibilities”.
