Eicher company was founded in 1948 by Vikram Lal. In the start, Eicher only manufactured tractors but now it builds motorcycles and commercial vehicles.
Eicher’s commercial vehicle division operates under the joint venture VE Commercial Vehicles Limited (VECV),. It was established in 2008 in collaboration with Volvo Group. This partnership has allowed Eicher to leverage Volvo’s technological expertise and global reach. VECV manufactures a wide range of commercial vehicles, including trucks, buses, and engines, catering to both domestic and international markets. Eicher trucks and buses are known for their durability, fuel efficiency, and innovative features.
In addition to commercial vehicles, Eicher Motors is famous for its ownership of Royal Enfield, one of the oldest motorcycle brands in the world. Royal Enfield’s headquarters is based in Chennai, India. Royal Enfield is famous for its unique motorcycles such as the Bullet, Classic, and Himalayan models. These motorcycles are famous for their classic design, and excellent performance.
