DeLorean Motor Company was an automobile manufacturer based in America. It was founded in 1975 by John DeLorean who was a known automobile industry executive of that era. The company manufactured a sports car that was also featured in movie “Back to the Future” trilogy (in years: 1985, 1989, and 1990).
Another company was formed naming DeLorean Motor Company in 1995 by a Liverpool based mechanic. This new company was not related to the DeLorean company founded by John but it managed to buy all the inventory from the John’s DeLorean company and introduced its trademark “DMC”.
The DeLorean DMC-12 sports car was designed by Giorgetto Giugiaro.
The DeLorean BTTF was designed by Lawrence Paul.
DeLorean Motor Company is owned by a liver-pool based mechanic.
Currently, there are 6500 DeLorean cars in the market.
The DeLorean cars could speed up to 130mph in 8.5 seconds.
