Due to low demand of trucks, the company had to merge with Jitsuyo Motors and became DAT Automobile Manufacturing Co. The company manufactured a 495CC car named as Datson and this is when the company was named Datson and renamed to Datsun in 1933.
The Datsun Z model car was designed by Yutaka Katayama.
