This is the second logo of Citroen. The logo is a vertically stretched octagon in dark royal blue color. The oval and the chevron elements are designed in yellow and dark royal blue color combination.

This is the first logo of Citroen which was designed by André-Gustave Citroën. The logo is a vertically designed 3 nested oval. The first layer is dull yellow. The second layer is violet blue and the last layer has white color fill. The center of the logo has double chevrons designed vertically stacked on each other. These chevrons are blue and connecting with the second layer. The chevrons also have a yellow outline that is creating an inline of the last layer. These chevron shapes represent the helical gears and this invention was used by the founder in his early inventions.
Citroen an automobile manufacturing company based in France. It was founded in 1919 by Andre Citroen and its headquarters is in Saint Ouen-sur-Seine, France. From 1878 to 1935, the company dealt in weapons during the WWI. After the war, the founder thought he needs to get ahead in business and since he was already had know-how of automobiles, he switched the company’s focus on manufacturing cars in 1916.
Andre got in-touch with an automotive engineer who had a good reputation in the French automobile industry and launched the company’s first car called Le Zebre. As of 2021, the company is owned by Stallentis, it was previously bought by PSA Group and before this, Peugeot bought 89.95% of its shares.
