The company’s production operations are carried out in Justin, Texas and its development and research team is located in Michigan. Canoo is planning to confer services like rental and ride sharing and also plans to manufacture commercial electric vehicles. The company was founded in 2017, it was first named as Evelozcity, it was founded by Ulrich Kranz and Stefan Krause. Stefan used to work for Deutsche Bank as a CFO and Ulrich was a senior executive at BMW. Both met an event hosted by Faraday Future and both left their company and decide to launch their own. The company was renamed to Canoo in 2019 and its headquarters is in Torrance, California, USA.
