Artega is also known as Artega Automobil GmbH & Co. KG. It is a sports car manufacturing company based in Germany. It was started in 2006 by Klaus Dieter Frers. The company is headquartered in Delbruck, Germany. Its current CEO is Peter Muller. The founder was a mechanical engineer at AEG-Telefunken and moved to another Nixdorf Computer.
Klaus founded 2 companies naming: Paragon AG in 1999 and Paragon Electronics GmbH in 1988. He then merged the two companies and founded Artega in 2006. The name of the company was suggested by Manfred Gotta who was a German brand development expert. The company displayed its first prototype in 2007’s Frankfurt Auto Show; the car was Artega GT. Another Special Edition of this car was shown at 2008’s Geneva Auto Show. The production of the cars began in 2009.
