American Motors Corporation (AMC) was an automobile manufacturing company in America. It was founded in 1954 by George W. Mason and was closed in 1988. The company was a result of two merged companies; Hudson Motor Car Company and Nash-Kelvinator Corporation. This merger was considered the biggest merger in the history of the country (USA).
Its headquarters was in Michigan. The company had a competition with Chrysler, General Motors, and Ford. The merger of the company was done by Nash-Kelvinator Corporation who acquired Hudson Motor Car Company.
The manufacturing plant of American Motors was located at Kenosha.
